Spindletop Charities, Inc., also known as Spindletop International, is a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation benefiting area youth charities, while promoting goodwill and fellowship within the oil and gas industry.

Spindletop's ability to host successful events and raise significant funds for youth is in large part due to the dedication and hard work of the many volunteers who commit their time and talents to this organization year-round. Thank you, volunteers!

Spindletop Cook Team Volunteers

The Spindletop Barbecue Pit

The Spindletop International Barbeque Cook Team, an all-volunteer effort composed of dedicated members of the oil and gas industry and other community friends, has been a unique part of the Spindletop family since the organization's inception. The Cook Team has received extensive praise and accolades for their culinary talents, including the 'Outstanding Volunteer Group of the Year' award from Casa de Esperanza de los Niños, and, for the second year in a row, 1st Place for their mouth-watering brisket entry in the Shriner Arabian Knights Cook-Off Competition benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children. Congratulations to the Spindletop Cook Team Volunteers!

Spindletop Hostess Volunteers

The Spindletop Hostesses are the dedicated group of oil and gas industry representatives who assist the Spindletop staff at each event and throughout the year. The Hostesses' friendly smiles have become a welcome tradition at annual events. Several of these ladies have volunteered with Spindletop for over fifteen years!

Spindletop Golf Committee

The Spindletop Tournament Committee works year-round on the annual Spindletop Oilmen's Golf Tournament to ensure the integrity of the tournament remains in place and the event runs smoothly. In addition to helping the Spindletop staff manage the three day tournament, they are responsible for making recommendations to the Spindletop Trustees for various improvements.

Texas Rangers Company "A"

One unique tradition at the Spindletop events is the presence of the Texas Rangers. The generosity from the Co. “A” Rangers in providing security at Spindletop events is appreciated! Pictured are Co. “A” Rangers attending a Spindletop Holiday Ball event with YES student volunteers and 2009 Spindletop President Ryan Lance. The Rangers also volunteer during the Spindletop supported “Lil’ Rustler Rodeo” for handicapped children during RodeoHouston. Spindletop also has been named as a beneficiary of past Texas Ranger Co. “A” Golf Tournaments. These proceeds have benefited such youth programs including Children’s Assessment Center, Communities in Schools and HISD’s EvenStart Literacy Program.

Several of the Spindletop Cook Team members volunteer at the Lil' Rustler Rodeo where they assist children with mental, physical and medical challenges as they participate in modified rodeo events and activities.
